Flowers, decorations, blah blah blah...

So, here are a few ideas for decoration... I've been collecting glass bottles and jars for lanterns/candle holders and vases. The images below show the kind of thing I have in mind... I'm thinking hanging some in trees with tealights in them and some with flowers or leaves and then some on the tables with flowers and leaves. I'm not really into the big floral arrangement thing. More just a sprig here, a bloom there... and I really like moss. I like lush greens. I'm trying to keep it simple, eco-friendly, and inexpensive. Comments welcome. :)

Midsummer Night's Dream

So, I've talked about this theme with my sister Candis and my mom and more recently with Mary. I have a vision... A Midsummer Night's Dream. No, I don't want any donkey heads or actual fairies, but twinkly lights and lush greens and ethereal dresses are all included in my vision for this wedding. Another great inspiration is Tord Boontje. I love most of his stuff. So, think flowers and tree branches.

Wedding dress ideas

Ok, so you might have heard that I'm considering making my own dress... I know, I don't really sew, and something about biases... blah, blah, blah... I've made loads of friggin' awesome Halloween costumes, some of which involved sewing and I have lots of helpers. My mom and JodyPrinceton have both made their own clothes. I'm going to play with it, while continuing to look for a ready-made dress to buy. If it seems like it's working, I might go with it. If it totally sux, I'll abandon the idea and buy a dress. Or maybe wear my friend Liz's. So, below are a few things for inspiration... (Images courtesy Style.com, Elie Saab, RealSimple.com, Oscar de la Renta and Kitty Chen Couture)

Aaand, I still love this one..
